Cured salmon is delicious and relatively easy to execute at your house. Essentially it is equal parts kosher salt to sugar. You use this mixture to coat the salmon.t The salmon should be left covered with sugar/salt mixture for a minimum of 6 hours. Once the salmon is ready to be removed and enjoyed, remove the coat and rinse the salmon with water. If you would like a hint of citrus or herbs feel free to add zested citrus and herb leaves to the cure mixture. Once salmon has been rinsed, slice thinly and enjoy with a bagel, sandwich or by itself.
