Candied Pecans


Candied pecans are perfect for fall. They can be used as a nice sweet touch to a variety of salads. Some of these could include Pear and goat cheese salad, roasted beet and tomato, and also apple and arugula salad.

Below is a recipe to execute some great sweet and shiny pecans for the fall season


2 cups of whole pecans

3 cups of simple syrup(equal parts sugar and water brought to a boil)

frying oil(vegetable oil will work fine)


simmer the pecans in the simple syrup for approximately 15 minutes

immediately fry for approximately 1 minute

remove from oil and extend on a sheet tray for them to cool
